A Look at Some of Washington’s Top Ski Resorts

Outside of his responsibilities as a certified public accountant, Roger Stadtmueller enjoys engaging in a number of sports, including skiing. As a resident of the state of Washington, Roger Stadtmueller is fortunate to be near a number of the best ski resorts in the nation.

Perhaps the most celebrated ski park in the state remains the Mt. Baker Ski Area, which has an average annual snowfall of 641 inches and holds the world record for most snowfall in one season. The resort has a challenging inbound terrain and some of the best backcountry skiing in the US.

Stevens Pass is also a popular option, with 450 inches of snow each year and several bowls, faces, and glades to explore. Some areas of the park are reserved for experts, while other areas are ideal for beginners. The resort also features Dog Dunes and Top Phlight, two terrain parks.

Mount Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park is a nonprofit resort that provides affordable access to slopes. The area has 2,000 vertical feet on 1,425 acres and a massive terrain park. The resort has runs for skiers of all levels, with experts often focusing on the tree-skiing area.
